Guideon Richeson
Owner
The youngest of five children, Guideon Richeson grew up in the small Missouri town of De Soto. He cut his teeth, so to speak, at the Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto where he did everything from cutting the grass to embalming and funeral directing. Some of his most memorable stories are from his days as an emergency medical technician for Mahn Ambulance Service. His degree from Mortuary School in Louisville, Kentucky afforded him the opportunity to be commissioned a Kentucky Colonel in 1989 by Wallace G. Wilkinson, Governor of Kentucky. His 23 year association with Service Corporation International began at Kriegshauser Mortuary in St. Louis. His assertion that he "learned from the very best" is directed to the late George W. Kriegshauser. Negotiations to purchase Laughlin Funeral Home from Jim Laughlin began in the Spring of 2007 culminating January 11, 2008.
