Wilma Rose Stack, 90, of Highland, Ill., born Oct. 27, 1922, in St. Louis, Mo., died Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Alhambra, Ill.
Wilma enjoyed going to church and was a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church in Highland, Ill. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and listening to music.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, James E. "Jim" Stack, whom she married on Oct. 20, 1945, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Granite City, Ill., and who died Feb. 10, 2013; her parents, Joseph and Minnie, nee Koehne, Grob; and her brother, Raymond J. Grob.
Surviving are her nine children, Kathleen A. (David) Cerny, James E. (Karen) Stack Jr., Daniel J. (Dil) Stack, Raymond Louis Stack, Michael J. (Jo Ann) Stack, Bradley G. (Patti) Stack, Anthony (fiance, Robyn) Stack, Ste-phen P. Stack, and Anna Marie "Amy" Stack; 16 grandchildren, Kara and Jimmy Welch, Paul and Laura De Luca, Danny O., Naureen S. and Ryan Stack, Sam Stack, Rebecca, Adam, Alex and Ethan Stack, Kimberly and Anthony Stack, and Mia and Emily; 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Eleanor A. Buente; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Ill.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Father Pat Jakel officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Ill.
