William "Mickey" Ruth, 52, of Troy, Ill., born Jan. 1, 1961, in Highland, Ill., died Saturday March 2, 2013, in Swansea, Ill.
Mickey loved his family, country music, playing trivia, and dressing as Santa Claus. He enjoyed his time spent with the Special Olympics and was a huge Cardinals baseball fan.
Mickey was preceded by his parents, Eldred and Ruby, nee Viere, Ruth.
Surviving are his brother, John (Carol) Ruth of New Baden, Ill.; his sister, Louise (Dennis) Becker of Marine, Ill.; nephews, Brian (Audrey) Becker, Mark (Nichole) Becker, Jacob (Natalie) Ruth and James Ruth; nieces, Sarah Ruth and Kimberly (Eliot) Deters; and great-nephews, Brock and Wyatt Becker.
Memorials may be made to Special Olympics.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill., with the Rev. Carl Johnston officiating. Interment will be at St. John Evangelical Cemetery, Black Jack, Ill.
