Obituary
William T. Porter, 77, of St. Jacob, IL, born September 11, 1940 in Highland, IL, passed away on Monday March 5, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Bill attended St. Jacob United Church of Christ, St. Jacob, IL. He was a retired from St. Jacob Volunteer Fire Department. In his younger days he was known as "Wild Bill" at the stock car track. In the present days he was better known for riding around the Village on his golf cart with Rusty his dog by his side.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lola J. "Joy" (nee McIntyre) Porter; parents, Sam Porter and Margaret (nee Witchie) Porter-Kirchner.
Surviving are his children, Jerry L. (Carol) Porter of Highland, IL, Vickey (Marvin) Kramer of Farina, IL, Sandy (Steve) Prusa of Highland, IL and Linda (Bob) Bollman of Highland; grandchildren, Kyle (Audrey) Prusa, Taylor Prusa, Morgan Kramer and Dylan Bollman; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Cooper Prusa; brothers, Robert (Claudia) Porter of Mulberry Grove, IL and Dennis Porter of Van couver, WA.
