William F. "Bill" Kohl, 82, of Troy, IL, born Wednesday, April 14, 1943, in St. Louis, MO and passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at his home.
Bill served his country faithfully in the United States Army. He was a long-time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Troy, IL where he served on the Church Board, many standing committees and was an Usher on Sunday mornings. He retired from Concordia Publishing. St. Louis, MO. Bill was a member of the Troy VFW Post 976 in Troy, IL and the American Legion Troy Post 708. He enjoyed camping, grocery shopping and a good Cruise. He most of all loved his family and enjoyed the many times they spent together.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, AJ Warner; his parents, Joseph W. and Clara (Nee Neil) Kohl; brother, Robert (Irene) Kohl; and his sisters, Shirley and Dorothy Kohl.
Surviving is his wife, Fran (nee Gaultney) Kohl whom he married October 23, 1965 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, IL; his children, Michelle (John) Warner of Troy, IL, Todd (Ronda) Kohl of Mountain Home, AR and Daniel (Tiffany) Kohl of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Nathan (Ashley) Kohl, Jacob (Madison) Kohl, Anthony (Alyssa) Warner, Jordyn Kohl and Cameron Kohl; great-grandchildren, Nora, Caleb, Kiera and Ada Kohl, Carson, Peyton and Chloe Warner; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 am on Friday, June 27, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Troy, IL with Rev. Scott Busacker officiating.
