William "Beel" Burgess, 86, of Troy, IL, born Nov. 23, 1927, in St. Genevieve, MO, died Dec. 18, 2013 at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice House of Southern IL, Edwardsville, IL.
William was preceded in death by His first wife, Helen (nee Emendorffer) Burgess and second wife, Lois E. (nee Paul) Burgess; his parents Preston W. and Lottie (nee Resinger) Burgess; sons, Patrick, Jackie, Billie Burgess and Pat Kemp ; brothers Glen, Ronald and Jim Burgess; sisters Shirley Klem and Doris Barber.
Surviving are his wife Adeline (nee Formantes) Grant Burgess of Troy, IL; Children, Robert Burgess, Roger (Toni) Burgess, Tim "Beel" (Lisa) Burgess and Bonita (Ron) Kinion; step-children, Tricia (Bobby) Moore, Pamela (Eric) Thaxton and Jennifer (Dre) Day Daughter-in-law Sandy Kemp; 49 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Relais Bonne Eau Hospice of Southern IL.
Service will begin at 1 pm Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Friedens UCC, Troy, IL with the Rev. Douglas Seagle officiating. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
