Mr. William C. Buehrer, 80, of Troy, Illinois, born February 9, 1925 in Granite City, Illinois, died September 11, 2005 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Mr. Buehrer lived in Granite City until 1946 when he moved to Troy. He retired as a service station manager for Madison Service Company in Edwardsville. Mr. Buehrer was a member of the Jarvis Township Senior Citizens and a member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Troy. Mr. Buehrer liked working with his hands and took great pride in his wood working. His special interest was being a Grandpa.

Mr. Buehrer was preceded in death by his parents, Mathias and Dorothy (nee:Brinkoff) Buehrer and a brother-in-law, Lester Adelhardt.

Mr. Buehrer is survived by his wife, Laverne (nee:Adelhardt) Buehrer of Troy, Illinois, whom he married November 18, 1944, two daughters Mrs. Deborah (Thomas) Kapp of Edwardsville, Illinois, and Mrs. Dianne Grote of Collinsville, Illinois, three sisters, Mrs. Doris McGovern, Mrs. Margaret Podorski, and Mrs. Marie Wille,five grandchildren, Kendall (Steven) Kendrick, Kasey (Wendy)Kapp, Kylee Kapp, Emily Grote and Nathan Grote, three great-grandchildren, Trent and Tucker Kendrick and Chandler Kapp, and one brother-in-law, Clarence (Jane) Adelhardt.

VISITATION:Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home after 4 P.M. on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. FUNERAL SERVICE will be Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Friedens United Church of Christ, Troy, Illinois. INTERMENT at Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Illinois. Memorials are to Friedens United Church of Christ.
