Obituary
Vivian B.Smith, 92, of Troy died February 24, 2014 at the Hitz Home in Alhambra.
She was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on April 22, 1921 to Joseph and Minerva (nee Kocher) Bartholomew.
She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son, Joseph H. (Cynthia) Smith of Troy;
grandchildren Wendy Wittman, Erin Smith-Twining Michael (Ashleigh)
Smith, Sean Smith, Patrick (Amanda) Smith and Kelsey Smith;
great-grandchildren Rayne, Ryan, Phillip and Audrey Smith, Devin and Breana Rockmore, Susanne Smith and Jennifer Korutz; and a sister, Doris Kale of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Smith and son, Thomas A. Smith; a brother, Harold Bartholomew and four sisters, Dorothy Christine, Maggie Uhler, Anita Bartholomew and
Ruth Schuler.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Friedens United Church of Christ in Troy. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Douglas Seagle at the church.
Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Heartland Hospice or Hitz Home in Alhambra.
