Vivian Leona Mueschen Boostrom, 89, of Swansea, IL was born on August 11, 1925, and passed away on February 10, 2015. She was the daughter of Henry Mueschen and Rose Johnson Mueschen, who raised their family in Maywood, Illinois.

There will be a memorial service honoring Vivian's life and legacy; all are invited to Winstanley Baptist Church, 9471 W. Hwy 161, Fairview Heights, IL 62208, on Saturday, March 14, at 11:00 a.m.

Vivian married her husband Roy in 1947. They raised their children in Elmhurst, IL, and after retiring, moved to Varna, IL, then to Olney, IL, before moving to Swansea, IL. Everywhere they went they were active in Church and made many friends. Roy preceded Vivian in death in 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother Henry Mueschen. Vivian is survived by her sisters Mardell McLaughlin and Marilyn Herout, by her four children Dr. Robert (Linda) Boostrom, Rev. Paul (Janice) Boostrom, Rev. Wayne (Susan) Boostrom, and daughter Joyce (Mark) Teichler. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts might be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 305 S. Illinois St., Belleville, Illinois 62220, or to Winstanley Baptist Church.
