Obituary
Virginia Lee Parsons, 90, of Troy, Ill., born Feb. 17, 1924, in Alexandria, Va., died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Virginia was a member of Troy United Methodist Church in Troy, Ill., UMW and TUMS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick M. Parsons Sr.; her parents, Ralph and Stella, nee Huegle, Simpson; three brothers; and four sisters.
Surviving are her children, Fred L. (Jeanie) Parsons of Troy, Ill., Jeffrey Parsons of Galveston, Texas, Barbara Ann Doss, Debra (Jake Vetter) McCracken and Polly E. Magee all of Springhill, Fla.; 17 grandchildren, Jill (Todd) Fisk, Carol (Jon) Sparks, Jacob, Jordan, Jenna, Jelena and Masyn Parsons, Kristee Harris, Patrick Zillion, Regina Etheridge, Carlye Luecke, Kati Allan, Ryan McCracken, Kimberly Pargas, Hollie Whitley, Joshua Benton and Jarrod Magee; 38 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Vera Achenbach of Silver City, N.M. and Edith Premo of Loveland, Colo.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at Troy United Methodist Church, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at the church with Rev. Dennis Price officiating. Burial will be in Monticello Township Cemetery, Monticello, Ill.
