Vera Take, nee Wieduwilt, 90, of Benton, Ill., formerly of Troy, Ill., born March 10, 1919, in Glen Carbon, Ill., died on Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at Stonebridge Nursing Home in Benton, Ill.

Mrs. Take had spent most of her life in the Troy area where she met her family's needs as homemaker, mother, and grandmother.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Take, whom she married on Nov. 13, 1937, and who died on Dec. 30, 2002; parents, Harry and Louise, nee Kordovsky, Wieduwilt; a sister, Madge Holtmann; and three granddaughters.

Surviving are her sons, Neil (Pat) Take of Whittington, Ill., and Don (Karen) Take of Glen Carbon, Ill.; grandchildren, Kevin (Teresa) Take, Randy Take, Dianna (Craig Hall) Take, Kurt (Becky) Take and Duane (Patty) Take; great-grandchildren, Mallory Take, Amanda Take, Melissa Take, Lacey Take, Sierra Take, Donald (Britany) Cary Jr., Andrea Moss, Kyle Take and Emily Take; and a great-great-grandchild, Donald Cary III.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the Activity Fund at Stonebridge Nursing Home.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Chapel, in Troy, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tom O'Connor officiating. Interment in Forever Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, Ill.
