Obituary
Todd E. Penrod, 47, of St. Jacob, Ill., born Aug. 30, 1967, in Highland, Ill., died Monday, December 15, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
Todd owned and operated Penrod's Garage in St. Jacob, Ill., and also worked as a steel worker at Hammer and Steel, St. Louis, Mo. He loved working on race cars and watching them. He loved traveling in the RV to watch Nascar races when and wherever he could. Todd was a Rams football fan and an avid collector of Snap-On tools. He loved and enjoyed the time he spent with his family and his faithful dog, Shadow.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen M., nee Combs, Penrod, whom he marred on July 2, 2003, in Belleville, Ill., and who preceded him on Oct. 4, 2014.
Surviving are two daughters, Makayla Penrod of St. Jacob, Ill., and Jessica McClain of Elkhardt, Ind.; his parents, James and Peggy, nee Casper, Penrod of Troy, Ill.; a brother, Mark A. (Patti Elder) Penrod of Shiloh, Ill.; two sisters, Shawna (Brent) Loper of Arlington, Tenn., and Angel (Danny Sipes) Penrod of Troy, Ill.; nieces and nephews, Tyler Penrod, Jordan Penrod, Kelsey Sipes, Nathan Loper, Karoline Sipes, Eli Loper, David (Whitney) Combs and Chelsea (Jeff) Chambers; mother and father-in-law, Thomas and Julianne, nee Longwell, Combs of Elmira, N.Y.; a brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Karen) Combs of Mount Olive, N.C.; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at RICHESON FUNERAL HOME, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014, at the funeral home, with Rev. Dennis Price officiating. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
