Timothy E. Zenik Sr., 68, of Collinsville, IL, born April 2, 1955, in Granite City, IL, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Tim's childhood summers at the Lake of the Ozarks shaped his love for the water, a passion he carried throughout his life. Even as an adult, he found solace and joy in spending time by the lake with a cold beer.

His friends and loved ones were endlessly entertained by his wit, laughter, jokes, and stories. Tim loved his family and friends deeply. He spent 33 years working on Blast Furnace B at Granite City Steel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward H. and Norma D. (nee Pitzer) Zenik; and his granddaughter, Zoey Waymire.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon Jasper-Zenik of Collinsville, IL; his children, Nicole McChristian of Collinsville, IL, Timothy "Chip" (Corey Wittenhagen) Zenik of Lake Ozark, MO, Megan Hayden of Collinsville, IL, Dawn (Joe) Jasper-Waymire of Collinsville, IL and Bryan Jasper of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Sam McChristian, Carter and Bennett Hayden, Jordan, and Sebastian Waymire; sisters Cathy Reimers of Freeport, FL, and Christie (Sidney) Tucker of St. Louis, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
