Obituary

Tim Byrne, age 47, of Troy, passed away Saturday evening, March 29, 2003 at his home.

Mr. Byrne was a slab yard stocker for National Steel Company in Granite City, Illinois. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy and was the Assistant Fire Chief of Troy Volunteer Fire Department. He loved the outdoors, working in the yard and gardening.

Surviving are his wife, DeeAnne, nee Storey, Byrne; his son and daughter, Kyle and Kourtney, both of the home; his parents, Thomas and Carol, nee Hawkins, Byrne of Troy; a brother, Kevin M. (Linda) Byrne of Troy; and a sister, Katheryn (Edward) Noeth of Troy.

Visitation: Friends may call after 4:00 pm, Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Illinois and from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at St. Jerome Catholic Church. A Fireman's Service will be held at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, April 1, at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, with Father Steven Janoski presiding. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Black Jack, Illinois, south of Troy.

Memorials may be made to Family Hospice or Troy Volunteer Fire Department and will be accepted at the funeral home.
