Thomas Vande Velde, 77, of Troy, IL born Wednesday, August 8, 1945 in Chicago, IL and passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He enjoyed the RC Flyers of Columbia, IL and woodworking projects.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra (nee Harmon) Vande Velde; a daughter, Stacey Jarrell; parents, Albert C. and Mary Elizabeth (nee Van Leuven) Vande Velde.

Surviving are his children, Annette (Robert) Dixon of O'Fallon, IL, Michael Vande Velde of Wildwood, MO, David Vande Velde of Belleville, IL, Julia (Reggie) LaRue of O'Fallon, IL and Melissa (Tom) Barnett of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Liam, Eamonn, Aine, Cullan and Aileen Dixon, Aric and Rachel LaRue and Kaitlyn and Violet Barnett; a brother, John (Diane Forbus) Vande Velde of New Lenox, IL and his sister, Janet (Jim) Gillespie of Millersville, PA; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
