Theodore Otto "Ted" Donner, 63, of Troy, Ill., born June 21, 1947, in Oak Park, Ill., died on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.

Mr. Donner honorably served in the U.S. Air Force, doing two tours in Vietnam and retired as a Tech. Sgt. with 20 years of service. He had resided in Troy, Ill., for 16 years and owned Ted's Furniture Refinishing. He enjoyed his recent retirement. His passions included fishing, playing poker, bowling, traveling, hunting, decorating for and celebrating holidays with his family.


Theodore was preceded in death by his father, Henry Donner.

Surviving are his wife, Shelia Ann Donner of Troy, Ill.; sons, Tod Donner of Las Vegas, Nev., Ted Donner Jr., of Carbondale, Ill., Christopher Donner of Troy, Ill., Steven Donner of Troy, Ill., and Scott Donner of Troy, Ill.; daughter, Debi Donner of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandchildren, Shannon, Cameron, Kaitlynn and Austin Donner; mother, Dorothy, nee Gast, Donner of Mascoutah, Ill.; and brother, Harvey (Cheryl) Donner Sr., of Mascoutah, Ill.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, and 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at the funeral home with Chaplain Doug Nicely officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held at Friedens Cemetery in Troy, Ill.
