Ted G. Widel, 67, of Troy, Ill., born July 26, 1950 in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Ted honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a teacher at ITT Technical Institute in St. Louis where he retired. Ted loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Widel and Maurcette, nee Trimble, Widel-Range.
Surviving are his wife, Jennifer Wagner; her son, Nathan Wagner; son Eugene (Amy) Widel of Chesterfield, Mo.; grandchildren, Sean, Dexter and Clayton Widel; sisters, Debbie (Doren) Rakers of Troy, Ill., Nancy (Charles) Rogers of Smithton, Ill., Sharon (Kevin) Hultberg of De Soto, Mo.; brothers, Jon (Jackie) Widel of Swansea, Ill. and Bob Widel of Troy, Ill.; sister-in-law, Marie Widel; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., with Doren Rakers officiating. Interment will take place 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
