Suzanne Elise Taylor, nee Clair, age 51, of Edwardsville, Illinois died Monday, October 18, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born January 4, 1959 in Riverside, New Jersey.
Sue was a Tech Sergeant USAF Retired. She was a 1977 graduate of Riverside High School in New Jersey. She enlisted in the military in May of 1978 and attended technical training at Lowery AFB, Colorado. Her first assignment was Hurlburt Field, Florida. Her career took her to Virginia, Turkey, Oklahoma, Germany, and Illinois where she retired in 1998 at Scott Air Force Base. She received the Air Force Commendation with three bronze oak leaf clusters, also receiving the Air Force Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal with one silver oak left cluster. She retired and continued to work for the State of Illinois Department of Employment Securities from April 2000 to present. If you had the opportunity to meet Sue, she would have touched your life. She may have been your boss, your co-worker, your friend, or just someone to say "hi" to, but she would open her heart and arms to anyone of us. The spunk Sue carried will be remembered by all. The strength she had will help us through the worst of times. Sue was an incredible wife, mother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered by all and forgotten by none.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Beatrice Clair and sister, Sandra Leone (Tony) of Delanco, New Jersey.
She is survived by her husband, Steven R. Taylor SMSGT USAR Retired; daughters, Stevi Lynn Taylor and Samantha Renee Taylor
of Edwardsville, IL; brother, Michael Clair (Cathy) of Delran, NJ; sisters, Michelle Shinn (Lynn)of Riverside, NJ and Gail Troutman of Belleville, IL; sister in law, Chanee Louchart of West Branch, MI; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many special friends.

Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2010 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home.
Funeral will be Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles West officiating.
Interment with Full Military Honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
