Stuart J. Weider, 72, of Troy, IL, was born on May 27, 1952, in Highland, IL, and passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at his home, by his loving family after a courageous battle with bladder cancer.

Stuart was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, IL. He graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, and earned a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from SIUE. He retired from Triad School District after 33 years, where he was a dedicated baseball, football, basketball, and golf coach. He served Triad as a biology teacher, driver's education teacher, and assistant principal. He met his beloved wife, Paula, Home Economics teacher, at Triad. For 17 years, Stuart and his friends organized and ran the Triad Golf Scramble, which raised over one hundred thousand dollars for Triad athletics. After retirement, Stuart worked part-time as a building inspector for the Madison County Regional Office of Education in Edwardsville. He could often be found crappie fishing on his boat or playing a round of golf. An avid Dodgers baseball fan, he enjoyed visiting many MLB stadiums to watch the Dodgers play.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Weider.
