Steven Nicholas Evans, on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Steven was a son of Brian and Sandy (Dorn) Evans, born on March 18, 1991 at Rugby. He grew up in St. Jacob, IL until moving with his family to Bottineau at the age of 12. He graduated from Bottineau High School in 2009. He continued his education at Dakota College at Bottineau and the Turtle Mountain Community College at Belcourt pursing a degree in Criminal Justice. Steven had worked at Dale's Truck Stop in Dunseith, Dunlop's farm in Rolla and Tweed Country Ag in Bottineau. He was currently worked as a hired hand for Jay Bullinger Farms near Gardena.

Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing, demolition derbies and hanging out with his friends. He enjoyed every minute of being a volunteer firefighter with the Dunseith Fire Dept. The most important thing to Steven was spending time with his girlfriend, Jylee whom he loved deeply. Steve was a very outgoing person and touched many lives. Everyone knew when Steven was at the Arena cheering on the Bottineau hockey teams. Steven took this journey with his dog, Bow who was also in the accident.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Jylee St.Claire of Dunseith; parents Brian and Sandy of Dunseith; brother, Christopher "Bubba" Evans of Dunseith; grandparents, Carolyn Dorn of Highland, IL and Mary Evans of Troy, IL; aunts and uncles, Alfred (Kelly) Evans, Jr of Troy, IL, Kevin (Joanne) Evans of Bottineau and Tammy (Mike) Barbre of Wellington, CO and many cousins.

He was preceded in death his grandfathers, Alfred Leonard Evans, Sr., Ernest Dorn Sr. and uncle Ernest Dorn, Jr.

Mass of Resurrection will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at St. Jerome Catholic Church. The family will greet friends from 10:30 a.m. to service time.
