Obituary
Selma D. Elliott, 101, of Maryville, formerly of Troy, born May 17, 1902 in Ruma, Illinois, died November 4, 2003 at Maryville Manor Nursing Home in Maryville, Illinois.
Mrs. Elliott was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Troy, Illinois.
Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill "Babe" Elliott, whom she married November 10, 1926, in Granite City, Illinois and who died January 27, 1981; a daughter Blanche Taake; a grandson, Jeff Suess; her parents, Ferdinand and Margarite, nee Hachmeister, Kueker; two brothers, Charles and Henry Kueker; and four sisters, Margaret Kimberlin, Lena Eggers, Louise King and Alice Kurtz Kueker.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy (Leonard) Suess of Troy; four grandchildren, Linda (Ewald) Hoffman; Carol (Mike) Hollingshead, Donna (Mark) Sanders and John (Michelle) Suess; and five great grandchildren, Amy and Mindy Hoffman, Chad Burgess and Eric and Molly Suess.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Visitation: 4:00 pm, Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Friday, October 7, 2003 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Troy, Illinois with Reverend James Zimmerman officiating.
Interment: Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Illinois
