Ruth L. Stock, 93, of Troy, Ill., born March 13, 1922, in Troy, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at Eden Village in Glen Carbon, Ill.

Ruth was a long time member of Troy United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the quilters of Troy United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of McKendree College, and taught grade school at Black Jack School and later taught kindergarten in the Triad Schools in Troy where she retired in 1985. She was a member of the Beta Eta Sorority, the Women's Club of Troy and Friends of the Library. She traveled and camped with her husband for many years. Ruth was always happy and had a beautiful smile.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlo C. Stock, whom she married on March 13, 1943, in Troy, Ill., and who passed away on May 20, 2001; parents, Fred and Marie (nee Pollman) Druessel; brothers-in-law, Roger and Marvin Stock; and sister-in-law, Roberta Stock.

Surviving are her sons, David (Marsha) Stock of Benton, Ill., Duane (Rhonda) Stock of Norman, Okla., and Dale Stock of Troy, Ill.; grandchildren, Robert, Adam and Erin Stock, Ryan (Heather) Stock, Lauren (Brent) McCall and Leah (David) Ekman; and sister-in-law, Shirley Stock of Troy, Ill.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at Troy United Methodist Church with Rev. Dennis Price officiating. Burial will be at Friedens Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
