Obituary
Ruth E. Schroeder, 86, of Troy, IL, born October 5, 1929, in Troy, IL, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Eden Village Care Center, Glen Carbon, IL.
Ruth attended St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL. She was a member of the "FRIENDS" program of Troy, IL, "The Friends of St. Joseph Shrine" of St. Louis, MO. She also was a past member of the Anderson Hospital Auxiliary. She loved flowers, floral arranging and was an avid flower gardener. She also enjoyed interior decorating. Her late husband was instrumental in the erection of the bell tower at St. Jerome Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband William F. Schroeder whom she married February 6, 1981 at St. Jerome Catholic Church and he passed on March 8, 2002; parents, Herbert H. and Eva F., nee Pritchett, Beutel; and a sister, Shirley Borst.
Surviving are her brother, Herbert L. (Shirley) Beutel of St. Louis, MO; sister, Doris Petty of Redlands, CA; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Richeson Funeral Home with Fr. Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Glen Carbon, IL.
