Ruth Malter, 96, of Collinsville, Ill., born January 20, 1921 in Collinsville, Ill., passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at her home in Collinsville, Ill.
Ruth helped in the Good Shepard Lutheran Day Care Center, Collinsville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Malter whom she married March 22, 1941, and who passed away April 14, 2008; children, Carl Malter, Carol Ann Malter, Karen Persson, Susan Malter and Lynne Frieberg; brother, Bill Weiser; and sisters, Shirley and Berniece Weiser.
Surviving are her children, Chris (Jim) Scott of Collinsville, Ill., Paul (Tricia) Malter of Granite City, Ill., Ray (Pat) Malter of Collinsville, Ill. and Don (Michelle) Malter of Troy, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, Collinsville, Ill., with the Rev. Michael P. Walther officiating. Interment will be in the St. John's Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
