Obituary
Ruth P. Byrd, 90, of Troy, IL, born Friday, February 10, 1933 in Black Oak, Arkansas and passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.
Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother and enjoyed any time she spent with them. She retired from banking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Byrd Sr.; her son, James S. Byrd Jr.; her parents, Edward and Effie Johnson.
Surviving are her children, Mary (Earl) Herschbacher of Waterloo, IL, Douglas (Rhea) Byrd of East Carondolet, IL, and Mike (Debbie) Byrd of Collinsville, IL; her grandchildren, Mike P., Lara, Michael B, Ethan, Shelby, Billy, Anna, Aubry, Eric and Lucy; her special friend, Robert "Benny" Wigginton and many friends and family.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Valhalla Cemetery, Belleville, IL with Steve Davis officiating.
