Obituary
Russell Eugene Kasting Sr., age 66, of Marine, Illinois, born August 24, 1937 in Granite City, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at his home.
Mr. Kasting attended school and spent most of his life in Granite City, Illinois. However, he has held residence in Marine, Illinois since 1992. Mr. Kasting was a truck driver for Stahly Cartage Company, in Wood River, Illinois for many years. For the past seven years, he has enjoyed working for the Highland Wal-Mart as an assembler.
Mr. Kasting was preceded in death by his parents, Edward L. and Dorothy, nee Echrich, Kasting; and nine brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn, nee Gordon, Kasting of Marine, Illinois; two sons, Russell E. (Jamie) Kasting of Marine, Illinois, and Glenn A. Kasting of Carlinville, Illinois; a daughter, Karen E. (Debra) Bailey of St. Louis, Missouri; a sister, Audrey West of Staunton, Illinois; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
