Ruby Morrison, 92, born July 21, 1923, in Dorking, England, departed this life on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 in Highland, Ill.


On April 15, 1940, in Leatherhead, England Ruby was united in marriage to A. Ross Morrison. To this union, four daughters and one son were born.

Ruby was raised in Leatherhead, England. During World War II she met and married her husband, who was a captain in the Canadian Army. She moved to Saint John, New Brunswick with her family in 1946. In 1952, Ross, Ruby and family moved to St. Louis, Mo. She worked for and retired from International Shoe Co. After retiring in 1977, they moved to Camdenton, Mo., and enjoyed life on the lake and working at Tan-Tar-A.

Ruby was a very active member of Camdenton United Methodist Church, the Red Hatters and Farkle Club. She lived life to the fullest. She was best known for her love for family, friends and travel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Ross Morrison; her son, Lester Alexander Morrison; and her parents, Oscar and Mabel (nee Taylor) Macgregor.

Ruby is survived by a sister, Lena Clark of Bristol, England; four daughters, Sandra (Jerry) Faires, Christine (Dale) Wildhaber of St. Jacob, Ill., Lynda (Robert) Randolph of Camdenton, Mo., and Sarah (Mitchell) Bachtel of Florissant, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Sandi Morrison of Ballwin, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home, St. Jacob, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Price officiating. Interment will be at Fern Hill Cemetery, St. John New Brunswick, Canada.
