Ruby M. Flath, nee Lotz, 89, of Troy, Ill., born July 14, 1919, in Lone Grove Township, Ill., died on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Eden Village in Edwardsville, Ill.

Mrs. Flath had been a floor supervisor at Martha Manning Dress Factory.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Victor J. Flath, whom she married on Sept. 5, 1943, and who died Oct. 5, 1991; parents, Theodore and Amanda, nee Braasch, Lotz; brothers, Victor, Arthur, Filbert, Elmer, Lawrence and Edmund Lotz; and sisters, Lydie Cunningham, Lillie Poddig, Rosina Steffenhag, Valeria Eckert and Leona Mueller.

Surviving are her son, Allen V. (Shirley) Flath of Highland, Ill.; daughters, Shirley J. (Jim) Rood of Troy, Ill., and Jane E. Stumpf of Columbia, Ill.; brother, Wilbert (Shirley) Lotz of Collinsville, Ill.; sister, Lavonne (Dave) Coffman of Staunton, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Florence Lotz, Mildred Lotz and Sue Ann Lotz, all of Collinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, James (Shelly) Rood, Kimberly (Scott) Wildhaber, Alanna (Doug) Bree, Alicia (Tim) Rayner and Ethan Stumpf; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill., and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Troy, Ill.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at the church with the Rev. Mitchel Schuessler officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Troy, Ill.
