Mr. Roy E. Walker, Jr., of Troy, Illinois, age 62, born January 1, 1943, in Granite City, Illinois, died June 4, 2005, at St. Louis University Medical Center. Roy retired from the City of Troy, where he was in charge of the Water Treatment Department and the Waste Water Treatment Division. He has lived in Troy over 40 years, coming from Granite City. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, and was a member of the V.F.W. Post in Collinsville.

Roy is survived by his wife, Sharon (nee: Shannon) Walker, whom he married January 26, 1976 in Edwardsville, Illinois, one son Roy E. Walker III, of Troy, Illinois, and one grandson Christopher Michael Phipps. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Walker Sr., and Dorothy (nee:Spoteman) Walker.

VISITATION: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home after 4 P.M. on Wednesday, June 8, 2005.

FUNERAL SERVICES will be Thursday, June 9, 2005 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Collinsville, Illinois, with Pastor William Engfehr officiating. Burial will be at St.John's Cemetery, Collinsville, Illinois. Memorials are to the Diabetic Association.
