Roy "Rick" Virgin, 63, of Troy, Ill., born Dec. 7, 1948, in St. Louis, Mo., died on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. Virgin worked for Gateway Center in Collinsville, Ill. Rick was the former owner of My Brothers Place in Troy, Ill. He loved hunting and fishing.
"Rick" was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Richard Sr., and Jeanne, nee Cox, Virgin.
Surviving are his daughter, Sara (Randy) Luber of Troy, Ill.; son, Bobbie Lewis of Troy, Ill.; granddaughter, Brynlee Luber; brother, Randy (Mary) Virgin and his children, Sheahan Virgin and Kallan Quinn, all of Collinsville, Ill.; sister, Judy (Ray) Moran and her children, Aaron and Matt Moran, all of O'Fallon, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial in Rick's memory, to be placed in a local park.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles West officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
