Obituary
Rose Theresa Meier, nee Butkus, age 76, of Troy, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville, Illinois. Rose was born August 5, 1927 in E. St. Louis, Illinois. She married Wilfred Meier on December 14, 1947. They lived in the Pleasant Ridge area of Maryville and then moved to Troy. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild and Ladies Aid.
Rose is survived by her husband, Wilfred; four sons, Dennis (Carolyn) Meier of Troy, Curtis Meier of Sycamore, Illinois, Ronald (Rita) Meier of Spring Hill, Tennessee and Craig Meier of Troy; one daughter, Cynthia (Darrell) Butler of Troy; one sister, Helen Lauchli of Berthoud, Colorado; eight grandchildren and two great grandsons.
Private Funeral Serives were held.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
