Obituary
Roger Herman Tegmeyer, 87, of Troy, Ill., born Oct. 3, 1925, in St. Louis, Mo., died on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Liberty Village in Maryville, Ill.
Roger was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he sang in the choir, He retired from Small Business Association as an appraiser, He was also very active in Troy Lions Club, Troy Township Senior Citizens, and many Lutheran Charitable Organizations. Roger was a farmer and rancher at heart.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Norma, nee Caupert, Tegmeyer, whom he married on Aug. 19, 1950, in St. Louis, Mo., and who died on Dec. 9, 1993; parents, Herman G. and Loretta, nee Finke, Tegmeyer; and a sister, Ruth Kuhlman.
Surviving are his daughter, Jan (Mark) Pahl of Wilmington, N.C.; grandchildren, Michell Pahl, Christine Pahl and Ryan Pahl.
Memorials may be made to the
Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
Private services were held and burial in Friedens Cemetery Troy, IL
