Obituary
Roger Michael Johnston, 62, of Troy, Ill., born June 4, 1952, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Roger retired from the Navy serving his country faithfully and was an advocate for Veterans benefits working tirelessly at the DAV office in St. Louis. He was a member of the VFW Post 976 Troy, Ill., American Legion Post 365 Collinsville, Ill., Legion Riders, Patriot Guard Riders and A.B.A.T.E.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Roger and Mary Jane, nee Howard, Johnston; and a sister, Marian Witcher.
Surviving are his wife, Tamiko Johnston of Troy, Ill.; his children, Christopher Johnston and Jared and Joel Juarez; a special friend, Joyce Cavins; a brother-in-law, Dallas Witcher; two nieces and a nephew, Stacy, Dana and Alex Witcher; and many friends.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the funeral home. According to Roger's wishes, private interment services will be held at a later date.
