Obituary
Robert "Bob" Purcell, age 64, of Troy, Illinois, passed away at his home on Friday evening, August 20, 2004.
Bob is survived by two children, Bradley Purcell of Columbus, Ohio and Amy (Scott) Zinda of Dacula, Georgia; two grandchildren, Tyler and Blake Zinda; his former wife, Maryann Purcell (nee Baglin)of Troy, Illinois; and his special companion, Barbara Scharnhorst of St. Peters, Missouri; a sister Doris (Don) Schminchak and brother, James Purcell.
Bob was active for many years in the Troy Lions Club, AF & AM Marine Lodge, Teamsters #688, and had served for several years on the Triad School Board, holding various positions. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a devoted father, often coaching his children's sports teams.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 22, 2004 at Laughlin Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Ed Weston officiating.
Memorials may be made to Troy Lions Club or Family Hospice.
