Obituary
Robert Lloyd Oakley, 66, of Troy, IL, born February 7, 1947, in Charleston, West Virginia, died on Monday, March 18, 2013 at his home in Troy, IL.
Robert served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He loved his family especially his nieces and nephews, loved bass fishing on the Kentucky Lake, hunting and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Stella, nee Hicks, Oakley.
Surviving are his brothers, Paul F. (Brenda) Oakley of Ellis Grove, IL, James O. Oakley of Ohio and Johnnie L ( Sandra) Oakley of Cahokia, IL; sister, Ann Marie Copelin of Verden, IL; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made to Fisher House at Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, Missouri.
Friends may call from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, IL.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles West officiating.
