Robert George Morrow, Sr., age 79, of Troy, formerly of Caseyville, Illinois, passed away Tuesday morning at his home following complications from diabetes. Bob was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He later moved to Ohio with his wife, Dorothy, where he was employed by the B&O Railroad Steam Locomotive Division. He began a long career in trucking as a long distance driver for Eastern Express and retired from East Texas Motor Freight St. Louis Division. He was a veteran of World War II; he was wounded in combat, earning him the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was married to Dorothy Morrow for 52 years; she survives. He is also survived by two children Robert (Karen) Morrow, Jr. of Troy and Linda Kissel of Belleville. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge in Collinsville and selflessly donated his body for research to the St. Louis University School of Medicine.
Memorial Open House and Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00 - 9:00 pm, Thursday, May 29, 2003 at the family's home at 412 Troy Avenue, Troy, Illinois.
Memorial Donations may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association.
