Obituary
Robert L. "Bob" McCallister Sr., of Troy, Ill., born Sept. 28, 1935, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at home surrounded by his family.
Bob was a faithful long time member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caseyville, Ill. He started his career as many did working at S.S. Kresge 5 & 10 in East St. Louis, Ill., also worked at General Steel in Granite City, Schaefer Electric in St. Louis, Mo., and retired from Bussmann Fuse/Cooper Industries as a payroll supervisor. He was a member of Area 54 Shiloh Eagles Lodge, he loved playing softball and golfing. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent with the grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Anna, nee Haberberger, McCallister; brother, Kenneth McCallister; and sisters, Esther Mayer, Laverne Rash and Karen Mackin.
Surviving are his wife, Irene, nee Waters, McCallister of Troy, Ill., whom he married on May 21, 1986, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caseyville, Ill.; children, Robert McCallister Jr., (Donna), Randall McCallister (Kathleen), Jonathan Stiles (Kristen), and Michael Stiles (Traci); grandchildren, Shannon Porter (John Kretz), Daniel Porter (Candice), Jason Porter (deceased), Lindsay Crist (Corey), Robert McCallister III (Stephany), Amanda Marlow (Shawn), Megan Anderson (Ricky), Steven Leezy, Tyler Leezy, Brent Leezy, Kristina Spears, Nicholas Stiles (Erin), Gillian Stiles, and Elisabeth Stiles; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Timothy Mandeville, Nicole, Ashley, Cloe, and William Porter, Tyler, Cassidy, Riley, and Cayden Crist, McKenna McCallister, Ian and Owen Marlow, Chase, Braden, and Asher Anderson, Kristiana and Michael Spears; great-great-grandchild, Zoey Mandeville; sisters, Colleen (Elmer) Campe of Troy, Ill., Darlene Howell of Atlanta, Ga., and Harriett (Jack) Little of Caseyville, Ill.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 901 South Main Street, Caseyville, Ill., with Father Ray Schultz officiating. Family will greet friends and relatives after Mass in the reception hall at St. Stephen.
