Retired Master Sgt. Robert James Dolan, 91, of Troy, Ill., born Feb. 1, 1923, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice of Southern Illinois, Edwardsville, Ill.

Mr. Dolan was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church of Troy, Ill.  He was a retired master sergeant serving over 22 years in the United States Airforce. Robert worked as a supply clerk for McDonnell Douglas Corporation for many years.  He was a member of the VFW Post of Florissant, Mo., and the United States LST 47 Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Mae, nee Moon, Dolan; a daughter, Barbara Garland; parents, James Neal and Daisy, nee Meinieur, Dolan; and a brother, Richard Dolan.

Surviving are daughter, Donna (Kenneth) Klatch of Troy, Ill.; son, Kenneth Dolan; grandchildren, Bryan (Renee) Garland, Amanda Dolan, Sarah (Nick) Lorenz, Alyssa Klatch and Samuel Klatch; and great-grandchildren, Zackery and Nathan Garland, Jaylinn Neel, Jozlinn Pollock, Gwinna Dolan, Caitlin, Harper and Brinley Lorenz.

Memorials may be made to St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Ill., or Relais Bonne Eau Hospice House, Edwardsville, Ill.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, at the church with Father Pat Jakel officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
