Robert L. Cook, 95, of Troy, IL, born Thursday, July 1, 1926 in Granite City, IL and passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Liberty Village, Maryville, IL.
Robert was a member of the Steel Worker Union and retired from Granite City Steel. He was a member of the Belleville Pigeon Club. He enjoyed playing bingo and being an artist.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Margaret (nee Bevill) Cook and Dolores (Cisler) Cook, parents, Cyrelle O. and Margaret (nee Battreal) Cook; Daughter-in-;law, Deborah Cook; son-in-law, Richard Weaver; and 8 siblings.
Surviving are his children, Rob (Pat) Cook of St. Louis, MO, John (Terri) Cook of Foley, AL, Ed Cook of Salisbury, NC, Bill Cook of Nashville, TN, Mary Cook of Nashville, TN and Sherry (Charles) Ridenour of St. Louis, MO; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Betty Cook.
