Robert B. Colter, 77, of Troy, IL, born Thursday, April 3, 1945 in Warren, PA and passed away at his home on Monday, May 9, 2022.

Robert was a member of the Methodist Church.  He served his country faithfully in the Vietnam Conflict.  He retired from Lincoln Industries where he was a Purchasing Agent.  Bob was a member of Southern Illinois Mustang Association.  Robert was a sports enthusiast watching all sports in person or TV and enjoyed playing tennis and pickle ball.  Bob also enjoyed dancing especially country western dancing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Colter.

Surviving are his wife, Fran (nee Heil) Colter of Troy, IL; his children, Robert "Andy" (Melissa) Colter of Plymouth, NH and Ann M. (Chris) Winning of New Douglas, IL; granddaughter, Madelyn Rose Winning; his mother, Catherine E. (nee Stromdahl) Colter of East Alton, IL; and his sister, Carolyn (Loree) Riggs of Rochester, IL.

Visitation for Robert will be 11:30 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Richeson Funeral Home.  Interment with full military honors will take place in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO
