Rita A. Hoff, 80, of Troy, Ill., formerly of Pinckneyville, Ill., born October 19, 1935, in Pinckneyville, Ill., died Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, at Barnes Jewish Medical Center, St. Louis, Mo.

Rita possessed a great sense of humor and quick wit, she enjoyed quilting, and for the last several years shared her talent with her friends at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Troy, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John G. Hoff.

Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Gersbach of Hudsonville, Mich.; son, Thomas Hoff (Carole) of Fowler, Ind.; and her three grandchildren, Caleb, Jordan and Joshua. She was treasured by many friends and relatives, and will be missed.

Graveside service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
