Mr. Richard G. "Fibber" Warner, age 80, of Troy, Illinois died Monday, November 15, 2010 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. He was the beloved husband of Margie Warner.

Richard was born December 18, 1929 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Ruby (nee Utterbach) and Frank Warner, Sr. In his earlier years, he worked in the Troy area as a plasterer and then became a member of the St. Louis Cement Masons Local #527 in St. Louis, MO. Richard thoroughly enjoyed working in his garden every year. He specialized and took great pride in his ability to raise tomatoes and strawberries. The fruits of his labor were enjoyed by many. In his latter years, he enjoyed helping his grandsons, Tobey and Corey Suter with their lawn mowing business.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Warner, Jr. and sisters, Margie Boehmer and Arlene Middleton.

Surviving are his wife, Margie (nee Gaines) Warner of Troy, IL.; children, Richard L. (Sherry) Warner of Fairview Heights, IL. and Terri (fiancee Jimmie Lybarger, Jr.) Suter of St. Jacob, IL.; grandchildren, Tobey (Julia) Suter, Sr., Corey (Kylie) Suter, Richard (Karie) Warner, Jr. and Kayla (Joshua) Reynolds; great grandchildren, Tobey Jr., Wyatt, and Lilian Suter, Trenton and Logan Warner, and Katelyn Reynolds. He is also survived by brother in laws and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 7 PM at the funeral home with Rev. David Amsden officiating.

Richards wishes were to be cremated.
