Richard Stanley Janoski, age 71, passed away Monday evening, April 21, 2003 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Richard was married to Joyce Allemann on June 26, 1954 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in St. Louis. He was a parishioner at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in St. Louis and the Fifty Plus Club at St. Jerome's Church in Troy, Illinois. Mr. Janoski retired from McDonnell-Douglas Corporation, where he worked in the Labor Relations Department. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Janoski is survived by his wife, Joyce, of St. Louis; one son Reverend Steven Janoski, pastor of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Illinois; 3 daughters, Dr. Cynthia "Cindy" Janoski of St. Louis, Mrs. Linda (Justin) Peebles of Clever, MO, and Ms. Sharon Janoski of St. Louis; two sisters, Gertrude Schomaker and Veronica (Ed) Barczewski; three sisters-in law, Gladys, Alice, and Irene Janoski, and three grandchildren, Leslie, Jessica, and Lindsay Peebles.
Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, April 24, 2003 at 11:00 AM at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Illinois, with Reverend Steven Janoski officiating.
Visitation:4:00 PM, Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Illinois
Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with Full Military Honors
Memorials: St. Jerome Memorial Fund or in the form of Masses
