Richard Arthur Buecker Sr., 75, of Troy, Ill., born July 18, 1938, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014, at his home.

Richard served in the United States Marines and retired from Bi-State as a driver. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Josephine, nee Buehler, Buecker Sr.; and brothers, William, Michael and Joseph Buecker.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia, nee Bosotin, Buecker of Troy, Ill.; children, Richard "Rick" (Kristi) Buecker Jr. of Maryville, Ill., Diane (Mark) Kennerly of Granite City, Ill., John (Melissa) Buecker of St. Louis, Mo., James (Cleo) Buecker of San Diego, Calif., and Karen (Doug) Mueller of O'Fallon, Mo.; grandchildren, Danielle Chamberlain, Cory Gibson and Heather Kennerly, Kalie, Carly, Kyle and Jenna Buecker; a great-grandchild, Grace Gibson; and brothers, Robert (Regina) Buecker of Granite City, Ill., and Arthur (Carrie) Buecker Jr. of St. Louis, Mo.

Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Cemetery or in the form of Masses.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, Ill., and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Father Pat Jakel officiating. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Black Jack, Ill.
