Richard D. Amsler, age 66, of Troy, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 3, 2004. Richard was born September 29, 1938 to Roy John and Mabel Genevieve (nee Petre) Amsler in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Amsler moved to Troy in 1988, coming from Fairview Heights, Illinois. In 1996, he retired from Anheuser-Busch Bottling Company as a beer bottler. He was a member of NRA, AARP, Anheuser-Busch Employees Association, and Beer Bottlers Local 1187. Richard loved hunting and watching fireworks. He loved his family, including his wife Michele "Mickey" (nee Madura) Amsler, whom he married June 14, 1975. He cherished his three sons, Keith (Stephanie) Charboneau of Las Vegas, Nevada; Scott (girlfriend Quiana Kimbrel) Amsler of Pontoon Beach, and Greg (girlfriend Sara Wilson) Amsler of Collinsville. He is also survived by his sister Blanche (Charles) Thebeau of Eureka, Missouri; one granddaughter Aubrey; and special friends, Jerry and Barb Reulecke of Troy.
Visitation: Gathering of Friends will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 7, 2004 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Troy.
Memorial Service: 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 7, 2004 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Troy.
