Obituary

Raymond A. Lawson, 84, of Marine, IL, born June 26, 1932 in Dupo, IL, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, IL.

Raymond served his country from 1953 to 1955 in the United States Army as a Radio Operator and an Operating Engineer. He was employed by McDonnell Douglas and later retired from Boeing. He was an ace pilot at the Grantfork Municipal Remote Control Airport. Rose Marie and Raymond were crafters and for many years enjoyed making and selling their crafts. He enjoyed his Mattie dog, but most of all he enjoyed the time he was able to spend watching his grandkids playing sports, their football games and track meets.
