Pauline Mary Lewis, 84, of Troy, Illinois, born October 8, 1922 in Matthews, Missouri, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Faith Care Center, Highland, Illinois.
Pauline, was a Triad School bus driver for many years. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, Illinois, St. Ann's Altar Society, Friends of the Library, Adult Fellowship of Friedens Church, Madison County Home Extension and Anderson Hospital Pink Ladies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy "Shorty" Lewis whom she married April 21, 1942 and who died MArch 14, 2001; her parents, Charles and Julia nee: Sutton, Schmerbauch; a son, Donald P. Lewis;and four brothers, Joseph, Mark, Charles and Dan Schmerbauch.
Surviving are her son, Rick (Linda) Lewis of Highland, Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. Pat (Denny) Davidson of Sun Lake, Arizona, Mrs. Julie (Stuart) Huddleston of Adamstown,Maryland,and Cathy Lewis of Troy, Illinois; six brothers, Arthur, George and Robert Schmerbauch all of Troy, Illinois, Erwin (Connie) Schmerbauch of Collinsville, Illinois and Jack Schmerbauch of Florida; four sisters, Dorothy Schmerbauch of St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Ella Prendaville of Florida, Mrs. Blanche (Harding) Nix of New Hampshire, and Mrs. Viola (Marvin) Schmieg of Granite City, Illinois; 12 grandchildren, Theresa Lewis of Portland, Maine, Dan (Susan) Lewis of Edwardsville, Illinois,Mike (Sue) Lewis of Harpsville, Maine, Jon Lewis of Troy, Illinois, Dena (Ed) Brookes of Sacramento, California, Denise (Chris) Hall of Chandler,Arizona,Diane (Mike) Eckhoff of Bloomington, Illinois, Zachary (Kim) Lewis of Grantfork, Illinois, Matthew (Brooke) Lewis of Highland, Illinois, Kyleigh Lewis of Highland, Illinois, Amanda Huddleston of Adamstown, Md.,and Elizabeth Lewis of Troy, Illinois,; six great-grandchildren, Asia Lewis of Maine, Breanna Brooks of Sacramento, California, Madison Hall of Chandler, Arizona, Kaylie and Abigail Eckhoff of Bloomington, Illinois, Brodan Lewis of Highland, Illinois, and Jacob Lewis of Highland, Illinois.

VISITATION: Friends may call after 4 P.M. on Friday, March 9, 2007 at Laughlin Funeral Home, Troy, Illinois. A prayer service will be at 4 P.M. Friday March 9, 2007 at the Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Saturday, March 10, 2007 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Illinois with the Reverend Father Steven Janoski officiating. Burial will be in St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery in Troy,Illinois.
