Reverend Paul Morgan, age 85, of Maryville, passed away Monday afternoon, September 8, 2003. Reverend Morgan worked at Waggoner Electric for 22 years and later for the Collinsville School District #10. He was Assistant Pastor at Maryville Assembly of God Church in Maryville, then accepted a call as Pastor to the Troy Assembly of God Church, where he served for 25 years before his retirement.

Paul was born May 20, 1918 in Hillham, Indiana, to Pleasant Timothy and Mary Ethel (nee Decker) Morgan. He has spent most of his life in the Maryville area. He married Margaret Valesano on January 28, 1943. She survives, along with their two sons, James (Jan) Morgan and Robert (Linda) Morgan, all of Maryville. He is also survived by his sister Mrs. Ella "Delia" Prante and four grandchildren, Jamie, Jennifer, Robbie Lynn, and Stephen Morgan. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Harold, Clyde, Norman, Doyle and James and three sisters, Blanche Huffman, Ruth Ulrich and Leta Ammon.

Visitation: 4:00 pm, Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at Laughlin Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: 10:00 am, Thursday, September 11, 2003 at Troy Assembly of God Church.

Memorials may be made to the Troy Assembly of God Missions and will be accepted at the funeral home or at the church.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, Illinois
