Patricia J. McBride, nee: Grady, age 55, of Troy, Illinois, born January 24, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois, died December 13, 2007 at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn, Illinois. Devoted mother of Katherine Lyn "Katie" (fiancee Andy Brendel), fiancee of Jerrold (Jerry) Cobetto (his daughters Jesi and Jami), loving daughter of Betty (nee: Sporre) Grady and the late William Grady, caring sister of Maryellen Grady, Kathy (Larry) Carlson, Maureen (Richard) Stamper, William Grady and Michael (Sandy) Grady. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Debbie Nason, Marien Kryzner and many others. A dedicated teacher, and a member of the Illinois Education Association, she earned her Masters Degree in Education specializing in reading. She faced life's challenges, including a courageous battle with cancer, with patience, resilience and a good sense of humor. She will be remembered as a "mother" to all and a sincere listener who was beautiful on the inside and out. Visitation will be Saturday, December 15, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home in Oak Lawn, Illinois. FUNERAL SERVICES: Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, December 17, 2007 at St. Boniface Church, Edwardsville, Illinois. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Illinois.
