Mrs. Patricia Ann Hollinger (nee: Sherfy) 53, of Troy, Illinois, a Navy Veteran,passed away on June 10, 2006 at her residence from a long illness of Lung Cancer.
Mrs. Hollinger was born October 14, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Margaret (nee: Satter) Sherfy. Patricia married Buford Hollinger on May 14, 1978 in Naples, Italy.Mrs. Hollinger served 20 years in the navy attending the rank of Lt.Commander. After her retirement from the Navy she became a Crafter, making saddles, she was a Thoroughbred Breeder and Owner. Mrs. Hollinger was the owner and operator of her own upholstery shop for several years. Mrs. Hollinger lived in the Troy area for some 14 years.
Mrs. Hollinger is preceded in death by her father Floyd Sherfy and a son, Vaughn Kenneth Hollinger who passed away May 25, 1999.
Mrs. Hollinger is survived by her husband Buford Hollinger of Troy, Illinois, her son Eric Hollinger of Troy, Illinois, her mother Mrs. Margaret (nee: Satter) Sherfy of Verona, Missouri, and a brother Michael Sherfy (wife: Lynn) of Minnesota.
VISITATION HOURS: Friends may call at the Laughlin Funeral Home on Thursday, June 15, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. There will be no services.
Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri at a later date.
Memorials may be made by the Donor's Choice.
